World Radio Day
The date of its celebration was established in commemoration of the day that the ‘United Nations’ Radio was established in 1946.
In December 2012, ‘Unesco’ declared February 13th ‘World Radio Day’.
The purpose is to recognize and highlight the work of this means of communication and its impact on human life during the last century.

According to Unesco “radio informs, transforms and unites us.
It brings together communities from all walks of life and walks of life to promote a constructive dialogue for development.
It is the ideal means to ask for the appeasement and counteract of violence and conflicts.
Particularly in remote areas, which are potentially more exposed to these realities”.
Origin
This means of transmission arose at the beginning of the 20th century and the attribution of its discovery has been discussed among various creators.
Among them the Italian Guillermo Marconi, the Russian Aleksandre Stepánovich Popov and the Croatian Nikola Tesla who in recent years has been classified as its true inventor.
World Radio Day is commemorated, because it is a means of expression for various voices.
Which are present to inform and reflect on what happens around, with its benefits and conflicts, in search of a better world.
