The red-capped superhero returns to take to the skies and reconcile his alien heritage with his human family.
The DC Comics-based film begins with a soft reboot of Superman on the big screen.
It is planned as the first film in Chapter One: Gods and Monsters of the DC Universe.
It is produced by DC Studios, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, and written and directed by James Gunn.
It stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, and Nathan Fillion.
Also starring Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
The action-packed, adventure-filled, sci-fi film is scheduled for release in July 2025.
Synopsis
“In a world that has lost faith in goodness, Superman struggles to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with the human values that shaped his character.
Raised on Earth, he represents truth, justice, and the American way, but must confront a cynical world that questions his ideals.
