A place covered in magic and charm, where a large part of Colombia’s water sources converge, enhances its majesty on the horizon with the largest paramo around the world, which looks from its top at the living environment that surrounds it, between the air of the plants and the beautiful frailejones covered by the cold of the fog.
There, its living nature stands out imposingly in a calm and fresh environment, where spectacled bears, deer and eagles can be seen breathing clean air, which is meticulously surrounded by the green, terracotta and yellowish pastures that extend in its vegetal space.
Next to it stands ‘La Casita Feliz’, a reserve that was born thanks to the inspiration of Javier Molano, his son Javi and Gonzalo Sanchez, who filled it with ideas and initiatives, seeking to generate changes and awareness to preserve, protect , care for and recover the country’s moors.
His noble cause began in the ‘Sumapaz Paramo’, with environmental and social projects focused on educating, guiding and helping the community in the area, as well as raising awareness in the country and the world about the importance of this beautiful natural ecosystem.
