Help to build dreams with the Cruzada Social Foundation

Through its Godfather Plan, it carries out committed and inspiring work to transform the lives of children and young people in Manizales, Colombia.

This dedicated work emerges inspired by love, service and solidarity with flag fronts such as education and nutrition.

Its Sponsor Plan is for “children and young people from educational institutions who do not have access to all foods and wish to improve their living conditions by enhancing their knowledge, abilities and skills.”

In this sense, Martha Lucia Londoño; Administrative Director of the “Cruzada Social Foundation” tells us in more detail how this initiative arose and what its action fronts are.

Also, how people, public or private sector organizations, allies and volunteers can help and connect with this noble cause.

What is it and what does it do

Providing new opportunities forges a beacon of hope for the nutrition and education of children and young people who can develop their potential and build a path towards a better future.

In this sense, its beneficiaries tell us in their words what benefits they have and what they like most about being linked.

Initiatives with children and young people

Nutritional coverage

“It covers a set of schools and colleges belonging to 6 educational institutions, which house an approximate population of 2,500 young people.

However, only 70% of them benefit from State nutritional programs.

Therefore, more than 600 young people are not guaranteed a daily diet that meets the standards required for their age and development.

To address this situation, the “Cruzada Social Foundation” has its own restaurant with the capacity to serve more than 250 young people daily.”

Their laudable social commitment helps their well-being and physical and mental development.
