Bomba Estéreo and Carlos Vives release La Samaria

The Colombian artists bring an interesting fusion full of rhythm, Caribbean vibes, and freshness in homage to the mystical Santa Marta city.

The pure and alternative energy of the Colombian coast merges in the voices of Bomba Estéreo and Carlos Vives to sing to their hometown.

With the roots of a region full of charm and biodiversity, their sounds vibrate in a commemorative song for the oldest city in Colombia.

Celebrating 500 years of history, next to the Sierra Nevada stands a special place for its culture, beauty, and ancestry.

The magic of its landscape and its people is reflected in the artists’ lyrics, which are tinged with sun, sand, and sea.

A Deep Connection

Regarding this, Li Saumet commented: “It means a lot to me because it’s where I grew up, was born, and became the person I am today.

It’s where I learned to connect with the Sierra, the people, and the cultures of my land. It’s a sacred place, and that’s why it’s important for me to be able to offer that energy in a song.

I invited Carlos to collaborate because he represents that Samarian figure in music… He shares that same love for the land and connection with the Sierra.

For his part, Carlos Vives said: sharing this song that celebrates the Samarian spirit with Bomba Estéreo fills me with joy.

It’s a song of unity, pride, and a sense of belonging to Santa Marta, which reflects the nostalgia Li and I feel every time we return home.
