Attracting good vibes, opening paths and destroying obstacles are some of the magical properties attributed to these mythical animals.
Well-being, longevity, resistance, patience and abundance are part of the symbolism that elephants represent in Indian and Chinese traditions.
In various cultures they have been considered as respectable beings and resistant to adversity, due to their corpulence, thick skin and strength.
Their kind face and deep gaze are compared to kindness, nobility, love, honor, prudence and justice.
Thanks to their imposing nature and value, in esotericism lucky elephants displayed in decorative objects are used to ward off envy, bad energies and attract good fortune.
Hindu mythology
‘Parvati’ had ‘Ganesha’ when her husband ‘Shiva’ was at war with the asuras.
One day, Shiva returned from battle, but he did not recognize his son Ganesha, nor did he recognize his father.
For this reason, both had an intense confrontation and Shiva decapitated his firstborn.
Faced with grief, Shiva knew of his mistake. Then, he promised Parvati that he would go down to earth and look for a solution to the tragedy.
After descending, he found an elephant and took its head to put it on Ganesha.
From there this animal is venerated by the culture of the region, attributing to it powers inherited from the gods.
Chinese mythology
Elephants are good at absorbing water with their trunk, and in Chinese culture water represents abundance and life.
For this reason, elephants are associated with balance and harmony in all fields.
According to ‘Fen-Shui’ having an object that represents it with its trunk up and facing an entrance, window or the sun brings positive energy and money.
Lucky elephants overflow with enthusiasm among believers who place their hope in their impressive mythical and magical properties.
