RCN premieres Survivor, The Island of the Famous

Emotion and pure adrenaline reaches Colombian screens with a pulsating format full of challenges and adventures.

Testing the spirit and strength, as well as mental and physical abilities are the initial trigger for the disturbing competition that begins.

22 celebrities including models, journalists, comedians, actors, musicians and more participate to survive on a completely uninhabited island.

Only the strength, strategy and sagacity to overcome the different challenges and tests will allow them to continue in competition.

“Survivor” has a 25-year history and 50 versions around the world.

Do not miss its premiere from Monday, January 23rd at 8:00 p.m. by the RCN Channel in an experience where survival is only the beginning.

 

Tatan Mejia in the format

On this occasion, the renowned athlete, after 15 years of participating, leads the program.

In this regard, he comments:

“This game is more than mental, it is physical, where empathy with your teammates is vital. Here lives are changed, because you learn to value the small gifts that life gives you…

Here it is useless to have a car, a plane or money, what is useful is to have a good partner”.

 

Creative team

The format is directed by Pablo Garro and Alex Rodríguez. It has the executive production of Juan Pablo Gaviria and the content direction of Augusto Ramírez.

The art direction is in charge of Álvaro Córdoba and the former participant and winner of this format, Lucas Jaramillo.

In reference, Juan Pablo Gaviria, notes:

“This is a reality format where the stories are written as they happen and we must react to have very good content…”.

 

Technical Deployment

“Survivor, La Isla de los Famosos is filmed with 10 cameras, a crane, a dolly, two drones and 10 GoPros.

It has more than six reality cameras that accompany the participants 24 hours a day.

There are more than 200 people, between Colombians and Dominicans who are part of the production team of the reality show made on the islands of the Dominican Republic.

They travel 80 kilometers daily by boat at temperatures of up to 30 degrees, to reach the Island.

Every detail counts when it comes to fighting for an objective and surviving.
