Alkilados surprises with Los Dueños de La Playa
With airs of reggae, dub, ska, rocksteady and urban nuances, the group brings a fresh version of successful world songs.
Their alternative and island style is impregnated in 11 songs from different eras that return with a versatile, beachy and renewed sound.
Songs like “La Ladrona”, “Como Te Hago Entender”, “La Playa”, “Como Voy a Olvidarte” and “Tierra Mala” are part of their recent album “Los Dueños de la Playa”.
In this haunting compilation, Alkilados pays homage to performers and composers such as Eros Ramazzotti, Roberto Roena, Juan Fernando Velasco, and Diego Verdaguer.

In addition, it includes a self-version of their song “Respira” with Nanpa Básico.

As Lucho, a member of Alkilados, said: this album “was like granting ourselves a ‘whim’, because we made versions of our favorite songs.”
