Find out about winners of the 2023 Platino Awards

The tenth edition of the event that highlights the best of Hispanic cinema and television presented its list of winners.

The ceremony held in Madrid, Spain on Saturday April 22nd under the leadership of Paz Vega, Omar Chaparro and Carolina Gaitan brought disturbing surprises.

Among them, he presented the most awarded productions to “Argentina, 1985” with five platinums, followed by “As Bestas”, and “News of a kidnapping” with four each.

In addition, renowned industry talents and great Spanish-speaking exponents came together on stage and on the red carpet.

Such as Carlos Vives, Cristina Umaña, Juanita Acosta, Benicio del Toro, Majida Issa, among others.

Vibrant emotions and heart-pounding performances emerged during the event.

 

Musical taste

At the gala, a variety of artists honored different musical themes.

For his part, Omar Chaparro performed the Los del Río classic “La Macarena”, and he, together with Carolina Gaitán, took up an excerpt from Don Omar’s “Cuéntale” reggaeton.

Later, she made the stage vibrate by singing “La Bicicleta” by Carlos Vives and Shakira, added to Lucrecia’s joy when commemorating the success “Sazón” by Celia Cruz.

In parallel, the disturbing presentation of the actor Michel Brown, enchanted the attendees by evoking the Green Dwarfs with “Lamento Boliviano”.

Next, and with a flourish, Sebastián Yatra performed his recent hit “Una noche sin pensar” and Blanca Paloma sang “EAEA”.

*Best Director of Photography: Bárbara Álvarez, (“Utama” – Bolivia, Uruguay)

*Best Sound Direction: Aitor Berenguer, Fabiola Ordoyo and Yasmina Praderas (“As Bestas” – Spain)
