The United Nations celebrates this memorable date with the purpose of highlighting the history, culture and use of the Spanish language.

The representative work ‘The ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha’, crossed borders, and became one of the most recognized books in the history.

International Spanish Language Day is celebrated with the purpose of highlighting the history, culture and use of this language.

The UN establishes different memorable dates for the six official languages, in order to promote multilingualism and cultural diversity in the world.
