Enjoy Trash Art Alucinante Cinema in Medellin, Colombia

The recent open-air movie theater is available to enjoy free movies in commune 1st of the Colombian city.

An exciting audiovisual projection initiative promotes the Trash Art Foundation that is committed to youth development through art in its multiple languages.

For this reason, it presents an open-air movie theater with free admission in the Santo Domingo Savio Medellin’s neighborhood.

There, at The Cultural House Plaza of the Spain Library, premieres of national and international films meet every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

A place where, in addition, there is a space for directors and producers of short and feature films to present their films to the local public.

About this initiative

It was created by the Trash Art Foundation to offer the children of the Santo Domingo Savio neighborhood and the Medellin’s population a unique and free open-air cinema experience.

The purpose is to make cinema accessible to everyone who lives in or visits the city.

In alliance with La Alucinante Fabrica, a film distributor, films are curated to offer high-quality film premieres.

Trash Art Alucinante Cinema e is possible thanks to the Foundation with the support of La Alucinante Fabrica, The National Police and Alexandra Duque Communications.

“Under the motto “Read, Create and Recycle” the Trash Art Foundation has impacted Medellin sectors such as San Jose del Pinar and the Santo Domingo Savio neighborhood for more than 11 years.

Among its main projects is The Memories’ Urban Museum: an open-air urban art museum in Commune 1st.

Likewise, Cultural House: a space for meeting, creating and building knowledge with the community around art and its multiple dimensions; located near the Plaza de la Spain Library”.
